New Linux print driver software (HPLIP) was released on Friday, Oct 31, 2008.   The version is 2.8.10 and brings the total number of supported devices to 1,531.  A significant addition to this release was the inclusion of scanning support for several all-in-one products, which until now, had no scanning support (listed further within).
