Errata: My New Year's Resolution

Okay, I looked back at my last post and realized I've been a little tardy with my updates.  And there's pleanty of news to share from new versions of HP Web Jetadmin to the HP Universal Print Driver, tonnes of content ideas for new (and updated) video tutorials, etc.  It's just a matter of time.

So my new-year's resolution this year is to post at least 2 things (even if just small) a week and when time permits get to some of the more interesting video content.  But as with all resolutions, let's see if I can make it out of the first week or two.  Also, what type of content would you like to see posted?  Send me some of your ideas.

Ciao,

B.

Hey Brian,

When you get the info, it would be nice to know what features are coming on the next version of MFP firmware and DSS. I get questions like, " are we considering having SQL supported for DSS; will DSS ever be a mulit-threaded application". Plus would be nice to know what features are coming re-MFP firmware

Thanks Dave, absolutely.  As I get the updates for currently released product I'll be sharing.

This next comment is more for the purposes of other people reading this weblog.  For those customers working with an HP sales representative, work with them for future product information.  Depending on the customer requirements, the scope of the sales opportunity and the nature of the signed non-disclosure agreement which HP would require, your sales representative may (at their discreation) be able to share future product information.

Back to the specific questions above, I can be vague and suggest that these very topics are being discussed internally for the HP MFP Digital Sending Software product.  As they get announced publicly I'll share, but until then depending on business need, using DSS or one of the following capture solutions with direct MFP integration using HP's Open Extensibility Platform (OXPw) may be more appropriate.

Omtool AccuRoute

Kofax Document Exchange Server

Perceptive Image-Now

Readsoft

etc.
