Please forgive the long post --- it’s a big day for HP at the AIIM Exposition and Conference 2009. What’s happening? HP has traveled to the City of Brotherly love to meet with customers, partners and printing industry glitterati and to launch a host of information workflow solutions that not only help businesses cut costs and operate efficiently but are also environmentally conscious. Be sure to keep up with the exciting HP announcements at the AIIM Exposition and Conference 2009 (and beyond), follow my colleagues’ ‘tweets’ at the event on Twitter at HP_IPG and let us know what you think by tweeting to #aiim09. Photos from the event will be available on HP IPG’s Flickr page. Interested in the specifics? Well, if you’re reading this blog, you know that I have tried to highlight the ways HP continuously helps customers reduce costs. The HP devices, solutions and services announced today are no exception --- they aim to help HP customers meet their immediate challenges and increase efficiencies throughout their complex business environment.
New offerings include:
-
-
-
Also announced is the industry’s first enterprise-class imaging and printing management solution, HP Web Jetadmin Enterprise Edition (EE). The modules raise industry standards in fleet management by offering additional solutions, available in a suite, or individually, for time and cost savings.
-
Streamline fleet management with HP Open Extensibility Platform, the industry’s first solution that allows enterprises to configure fleets of devices using HP’s world-class management tools for finding, discovering, configuring and managing all devices (including non-HP devices) in an enterprise environment. A second industry first is the new OXP-Management protocols to HP Web Jetadmin EE that allow partners to programmatically access HP Web Jetadmin’s database of fleet discovery and status information, designed to simplify the integration of fleet management information into custom reporting tools.
-
Additionally, the enhanced HP Universal Print Driver 5.0 now features HP EasyColor that optimizes color printing and improves print performance for image intensive documents.
-
To help businesses better manage their document lifecycle, HP Output Server Solutions, offers new capabilities that aim to streamline business processes and workflows by delivering an end-to-end unified infrastructure; and HP Delivery Notification Solution for Manufacturing, powered by HP LaserJet MFPs dramatically improves information shipping, tracking, billing and auditing processes for the manufacturing industry.
-
Beyond providing innovative solutions for businesses, HP is also recognizing a trend in the enterprise-working environment: telecommuting. By 2013, IDC estimates the telecommuter workforce will grow to be nearly 10 million in the United States. HP is addressing the needs of this unique group of workers with HP Managed Print Services for enterprises to provide technical support, a multifunction printer, and supplies.
