HP's introduction of HP Web Jetadmin Enterprise Edition at AIIM/On-Demand in Philadelphia last week met with some serious industry approval.  I can't say that I am surprised - those of you who have been working with us for your enterprise printing needs are very familiar with the strong 12 year printer fleet management legacy HP has with Web Jetadmin - but I can say that I am thrilled with the pundits' nods the new Enterprise Edition received. And, I am even more thrilled about the implications this new solution has for improving management of our customers' enterprise fleets.

David Stone at PC Magazine blogged, 'Probably the most interesting new [HP] product [introduced at AIIM], in terms of potential impact, is the new HP Web Jetadmin Enterprise Edition.  Anyone who's familiar with using printers in larger offices is almost certainly familiar with Web Jetadmin, HP's remote printer management tool.  The Enterprise Edition takes Web Jetadmin in a whole new direction.'

Enterprise printing management is being reinvented to support a rapidly evolving and changing infrastructure and service environment. There are more users, using more bandwidth, and more applications than ever before.  The industry analyst feedback we heard at AIIM indicates that HP is on the right track with Web Jetadmin EE to help customers reduce management pain points.

HP Web Jetadmin EE focuses on:   enabling business intelligence reporting for device management; easy management of more devices for IT operations; application integration for smooth incorporation of HP Web Jetadmin with other applications using HP Open Extensibility Platform-management (OXP-m) web services, which empowers customers to effectively and affordably manage enterprise fleets; and advanced non-HP device support.
