Thanks to Richard Anderson and his team at the University of Washington, Classroom Presenter keeps getting better - and with its growing popularity around the world, new language versions are on the way...
Reprinted below, with Richard's permission, is his email to the Classroom Presenter Community:
Versions of CP3 are now available in Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese. With interest in using CP3 on low cost devices (such as the ASUS eee) in K-12, supporting these and other languages is important. I have someone working on a Spanish version, and I have offers to do Korean and German. At some point, I would like to add other major languages (French, Russian, and Japanese are probably next on the list).
The most recent version of classroom presenter 1656 is available from the download page: http://classroompresenter.cs.washington.edu/downloads/CP3/. We will be releasing the 3.1 version of Classroom Presenter in August. This is quite close to the version we will release (but maybe with a few more languages).
For those of you not familiar with Classroom Presenter, it is a great way to enhance your presentations, but more importantly, enable real-time graphical feedback in your classrooms... and Richard makes it freely available for non-commercial use. I've mentioned it several times in past blogs, such as "Classroom Presenter release 3.0 - it keeps getting better" . You can also view the November 8, 2005 HP Online Speaker Series archive where Richard talked about his experience using Classroom Presenter in his own classroom.
Thanks, Richard! Keep up the great work...
