Looking for innovative ideas for using technology to create engaging learning experiences for your students? HP is pleased to sponsor the brand new ISTE Eduverse Talks series hosted in Second Life. The first show was "Building Higher Education Campuses in Second Life"...
As I've blogged before, the International Society for Technology in Education has been hosting educator events in Second Life. To further disseminate the emerging best practices of educators across the K-20 spectrum, ISTE has now launched a new program, which you can attend "live" as an avatar in the "studio", or you can watch the recordings later (no need to dress up as avatar).

From the ISTE Eduverse Blog:
ISTE is pleased to introduce the ISTE Eduverse Talks series, a Second Life talk show highlighting the work of innovative K-20 educators and thought leaders worldwide. Presented with the generous support of Hewlett-Packard, this twice-monthly show is filmed and broadcast by the Second Life Community Network Television Station (SLCN.tv) and will feature innovations in educational technology, in both real life and Second Life. Episodes will be taped before a live studio audience, will be broadcast live via the web and SLCN.tv in world viewers, and will be archived online.
Episode 1 is now available for viewing (you don't need a Second Life account - just the Quicktime plugin for your browser). The show, entitled Building Higher Education Campuses in Second Life, aired on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, 5 PM SLT. It featured Sarah Robbins (SL: Intelligirl Tully), AJ Kelton (SL: AJ Brooks), and Brock Dubbels (SL: GrandMasterFoo Woodget) sharing their perspectives on the opportunities, challenges, and future predictions for higher ed campuses in Second Life.
I can't wait for more! Subscribe to the ISTE Eduverse Blog for details about upcoming shows...
