Gradually a shift will occur as younger generations, which are being introduced to computers as early as the 1st grade, move into the workplace their de facto standard will be electronic.

I enjoy reading our blog!!

I came across a great idea for saving paper -- that is so simple and so obvious. I'm really hoping it takes off. I've written about it in a post on the enterprise printing blog. It's called www.changethemargins.com. I guess what I find so compelling is how grass-roots it is -- one woman had a great idea, she started a blog and now it's starting to gain traction -- people are noticing, and people are changing their margins and saving paper. Check it out. Green it forward. Thanks, Alison http://h20325.www2.hp.com/blogs/enterpriseprinting/

Re: Microsoft Vista Printing Problems and th

Almost an entire year on and still no driver that allows the use of the scanner. Like many other owners of this machine it has been reduced to just a printer. Like many other owners I bought this machine as scanning is vital to my business. Come on HP what about offering some kind of discount on the purchase of a new product that actually works? - or why not deliver a driver that actually supports this product.

Re: HP Removing links to this blog

I put a link to this blog on the Laserjet 2840 Vista problems forum and HP keeps deleting the link. If your looking for a small footprint version of Jetadmin this is not it. This is pkg can't be compared to Jetamin. It's great for paper qty, toner qty, and linking to HP's sales and documentation. Unfortunately I was looking for a light weight version of JA to check firmware rev's, perhaps modify settings on printers, and perhaps monitor paper and toner. For advanced support it links you to each printers web interface which can be done with a browser and pointing it to the printers IP address. I do hope HP expands this products capabilities to perhaps the old versions of JA.

Re: Being HP at the Lyra Imaging Symposium 2

The paper manufacturing process really isn't as environmentally unfriendly as it is portrayed when it comes to chopping down trees. Any good business person (and yes there are a few in the paper industry) can see that they can't just cut trees down and make paper forever without replanting. I don't know the actual statistic, but I would think that like 90% of the pulp makers in the US and Canada practice pretty good sustainable forestry replanting at least as much as they take down. Now in South America, that may be a bit of a different story...
