Back From Vacation

Well I made it back from our yearly family vacation! Yes, I use an exclamation point to express my enthusiasm as going on vacation for us is a bit like The Griswolds heading to “Wally World.” We went to Maine this year, had a great time, spent some quality time with friends and family and just generally relaxed.

And although I did my best not to think about work… I did pay particular attention about the YouTube Democratic debate. First, I believe the event was an outstanding success! YouTube and CNN should be congratulated.

What I found interesting, was the so called concern by each candidates camp about which YouTube questions would be asked. My thoughts are that it shows the ultimate power of user generated content (UGC) and let’s face it… fear of getting caught blindsided with a tough question. UGC in a sense makes brings “big political machines” down to the level of a local campaign…. where the individual matters.

It should be interesting to see the impact UGC has as the campaigns get heated up.
