WebInspect 6.1
I'm happy to announce that WebInspect 6.1 is nearing completion. Customers should plan to receive it via SmartUpdate or our download server on the 7th of August (Monday).

So what's new? Well it's a point release, and generally any point release after a major release means lots of bug fixes, which there are certainly a few of those but we did manage to sneak in there a few great enhancements. For starters we are continuing our charge with Intelligent Engines and will be incorporating the new SQL Injection Intelligent Engine with the release. Behind the scenes there is also a huge improvement in performance (Yes even over 5.8, ahem...)

So hang tight, we are about a week away.

On another note, I'll be at Blackhat this week, if you are interested in meeting up swing by the SPI booth or come by the WASC meet up at Caesar's Palace Shadow Bar on the 2nd between 7:30 and 9:30

The new Compact Scan tool is also a cool new feature of WebInspect 6.1.  It is very easy to use and compresses SPA scan files by a significant degree.
