Scott, thanks for the email and sorry for the delayed response herein! These days when it comes to reporting I'm experiencing these problems (or similar) frequently. Generating reports is now a timely task. I've come to the point where I generate a single report at a time or else run the risk of errors/crashes. To curb the timeout problem, I've

OK, HP Support have worked out what's happeneing here: A file within FCKeditor, named frmcreatefolder.html, contains JavaScript that prompts the User (through an alert dialog) to input a new folder name. That prompt is made after the User clicks on the 'Create New Folder' division on the page. Because I was scanning with 'Form Submission'

By "4 different logons", do you mean you had to login to 4 seperate login forms using the same Account (Username/Password) -or- did you login to the same login form using 4 different Accounts (4 different Usernames/Passwords)? If it's a case of 1 Account used in 4 different places then setting up Form Based Authentication would be the

This could be very nice. Just this week I was dealing with forms contains 100+ fields (yikes!). But the reality is that Default values wouldn't have sufficed. @Pultosky: I'm really interested to know if you resolved this issue? Did you try the build provided by HP Support (v8.0.687.0)??

Ran scan against full site minus the FCKeditor directory and subdirectories, scan froze...must be something else in there triggering the problem as well.

I should've put money on this hypothesis earlier - have scanned only the FCKeditor directory and subdirectory = recreated the freeze...so seems safe to say some of the content under that FCKeditor dir is triggering the problem... Rerunning that scan, but with all JavaScript options unset, does not yeild the freeze...
-
...sigh, it froze again at around the same time during the scan :(

Hokay, so ontop of installing build 8.0.687.0 I've been directed to make the following changes to C:/Documents and Settings/AllUsers/Application Data/Spi Dynamics/WebInspect/7.0/Default.xml (despite these changes being indicated to solve OutOfMemory problems, where I'm not currently experiencing OutOfMemory problems, anyhoooo): RunScriptParserOnParamManipulationAttackResponse2

Yes Brite, we even have cars, buses, trains, and trams incase our kangaroos break down ;) Word from HP Support is that Issue 10195 ( "AMP 8.0 - Scan never completes and is not sending out any requests, even though it can be controlled (pause/stop/restart).") is the same as I'm experiencing in WebInspect and has been resolved in build 8
