  • Re: webinspect scan with macro

This error regarding Expected versus Actual is reporting that when your Login or Start Macro replayed during the assessment/test run, it received a different STATUSCODE in the HTTP Response when compared to when the Macro was first recorded. It is normally meant as an FYI, provided it only happens a little, for individual sessions or replays. If it

  • Re: Moving the AMP Sensor scan logs directory

SharedSettings.config doesn't seem to exist anywhere on any of our AMP sensors. I've been able to locate AmpSensorWI.exe.logging.config and WebInspect.exe.logging.config, both of which are almost identical, but neither one has any mention of anything other than the trace log file.

Since the acquisition by HP, the SPI Dynamics Sales team has been switched to QMSecuritySales@hp.com. There had been a mail forward for some months, but it may have ended by now. You may also call them at +1 -866-774-2700 x1 (9 AM - 5 PM EDT).

  • MS Vista and Adobe Reader 7.

When using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 7 on Microsoft Vista, WebInspect 7.7.869 will not be able to render PDF reports on-screen. The user will be able to Save the Report from WebInspect, but not view it. The saved Report may be opened in Adobe Reader outside of WebInspect without issue. Users of Vista should upgrade their Adobe Acrobat Reader to version

  • Issues with Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.

Adobe Acrobat Reader version 9 was released in July 2008, shortly after the release of WebInspect 7.7.869. Adobe has changed the Reader in some manner making it incompatible with this version of WebInspect. Users will want to uninstall version 9 and install either 7.0 or 8.1.2 instead. The Minimum System Requirements are being updated to match this

  • Re: Create start script using "Web Macro Recorder"

The mostly likely culprit for this is that you are within a network requiring a proxy, and that you will need to configure that proxy setting for the Web Macro Recorder tool. It does not automatically use the proxy settings from MSIE.

  • Re: Custom Agent - Dictionary Builder

That is quite a tall order! Are there specific words or forms you are seeking, or did you want all of them? To capture all of the words, you may be better served researching website scraping tools built for parsing words and generating the list. I meandered across this reference to using "pspell". If you can create a regex or SPI regex to

  • Re: Scrawlr FAQ

Silly HP systems! Sorry bsanders that IT's systems are so rude to those in Canada. Just enter a US zip like 30068. I'll go take the "encouragement" bat down to NOC tomorrow and get this fixed. Sorry about the confusion!
